Profit impact – on demand!
True cost-to-serve analysis on site, every day.
Unprecedented detail and accuracy
PIM produces detailed cost analysis of every line item shipped, by SKU, by activity, by delivery location.
CoreProcess PIM (Profit Impact Model) delivers “every period” insights into which customers and which products are eroding your business profitability.
PIM is a robust, maintainable network simulation model, designed for permanent deployment into your business, to deliver highly detailed and accurate information about the true cost to serve each of your customers with each product they buy, broken down by supply chain activity. PIM enables the analysis of every phase of your products’ movement through the supply chain, from factory to consumer (figure 1).
The model is therefore also able to deliver accurate carbon footprint information about your supply chain.
Initially developed for the fast moving consumer goods industry, CoreProcess PIM is applicable to any supply chain where packaged products are warehoused, picked and transported. PIM can reliably model complex distribution networks, with multiple layers of warehousing and multiple transport legs. PIM is suited to modelling both highly automated and highly manual activities in Distribution Centres.
PIM uses a sophisticated top-down and bottom-up calculation methodology, enabling results to be reconciled to your General Ledger, while delivering highly detailed insight into the activities which are driving cost in your supply chain.
CoreProcess PIM is built on a robust, industry-standard SQL database, using Java.
PIM is fully configurable to your network requirements – we match the model to your network environment, not vice-versa.
PIM produces detailed cost analysis of every line item shipped, by SKU, by activity, by delivery location. These results can then be rolled up to provide easy-to-digest reports for management, using either in-house reporting tools (such as Cognos or Business Objects) or desktop tools (such as Microsoft Access or Excel pivot tables).
